#uzedsmartads, How to Configure My Applets Settings on IFTTT for Auto Sharing & Website Link Posting 🚀

Step 1: Sign in and Access Your IFTTT Account

  1. Go to IFTTT and sign in with your Google, Apple, or email account.

  2. Click on your profile picture → “My Applets” to view your existing applets.

Step 2: Choose/Create an Applet

  1. Click “Create” in the top-right corner.

  2. You’ll see “If This Then That”.

    • This → Trigger (what starts the automation).

    • That → Action (what happens after the trigger).

Step 3: Set Up the Trigger (“This”)

Depending on what you want to auto-share:

Option A: New Blog Post

  • Service: RSS Feed

  • Trigger: “New feed item”

  • Enter your blog or website RSS link.

Option B: Social Media Post

  • Service: Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook

  • Trigger: “New tweet by you”, “New photo by you”, etc.

Step 4: Configure the Action (“That”)

This is where your auto-sharing happens:

Option A: Auto Share to Social Media

  • Action Service: Facebook Pages, Twitter, LinkedIn

  • Action: “Create a status message”, “Post a tweet”, or similar.

  • Customize the content:

    • Use ingredients from your trigger, like EntryTitle, EntryUrl, or Content.

    • Example:

      New Blog Post Alert! 🚀 {{EntryTitle}} Read here: {{EntryUrl}}

Option B: Auto Post Website Link

  • Action Service: Webhooks or Google Sheets

  • Webhooks: Send your website URL to any supported platform.

  • Google Sheets: Keep a log of all posts automatically.

Step 5: Configure Applet Settings

  1. Click “Settings” or the gear icon on the applet.

  2. Choose notifications if you want alerts.

  3. Toggle “Receive notifications when this Applet runs”.

  4. Optionally, enable “Filter code” (for advanced users) to customize logic, like posting only certain links.

Step 6: Test Your Applet

  1. Click “Check now” or “Run” to test.

  2. Verify that your post or link appears correctly.

  3. If needed, edit the applet to adjust formatting or add hashtags.

Step 7: Automation Tips

  • Use multiple applets for different platforms.

  • Add hashtags or emojis to increase engagement.

  • Use scheduling apps (like Buffer or Zapier integration) for better timing.

  • Regularly check logs to ensure all posts are shared correctly.

💡 Pro Tip: If you want dynamic link posting, always use RSS + Webhooks combo. This way, every new post on your site automatically gets shared anywhere you want.
